The Last Train Home
Blayne Cooper (Advocate)

Available early this fall.
Starting out in the slums of the Lower Eastside of Manhattan, The Last Train Home
follows the adventures of Virginia Chisholm, a young factory worker, and Lindsay Killian, a drifter who fills her days riding the rails, as they journey to reclaim Ginny's family. Thrown together by fate and tragedy, Lindsay and Ginny build a solid friendship strong enough to endure the trials of an impoverished existence in 1890s America and a quest from which neither one will back down. It's those same bonds that form the basis of a tender, and very unexpected, romance.

First Lady, the sequel to Madam President
T. Novan and Blayne Cooper

Available early this fall.
First Lady continues the chronicle of the lives of Devlyn Marlowe, President of the United States,
and Lauren Strayer, her official biographer and soon-to-be First Lady. Devlyn, a supremely dedicated public servant, struggles to find the balance between managing the nation’s interests and finding time to continue the development of her relationship with Lauren, get married, and raise her kids. Lauren is forced to deal with numerous stresses herself, including the press,
her estranged father, Dev's instant family, the upcoming wedding, her responsibilities as biographer, and some persistent personal demons relating to her now deceased mother.

Words Heard in Silence
T. Novan and Taylor Rickard

Available early this fall.
Words Heard in Silence begins the chronicles of the Redmond Family, with the meeting of
Colonel Charlie (Charlotte) Redmond and the Virginia spitfire, Rebecca Gaines, during the last months of the Civil War. Colonel Redmond was the very image of an officer and a gentleman; a man of honor and grace. Rebecca found herself intrigued by this man who had seen so much violence yet retained his gentle soul. Yet, it was treason to the South and a discredit to her dead husband’s memory that Rebecca should find an officer of the enemy to be attractive, let alone consider him as a potential husband. Charlie was faced
with his own problems, not the least of which was a deadly secret, which if discovered, would result in his being expelled from the Army. Charlie was one of that handful of women who disguised their gender and served with honor and distinction on both sides of the war.

As the war re-ignites in spring of 1865, and the end game is played, Charlie’s troops return to action, leaving Rebecca to fear the loss of yet another loved one to the horrors of war. In the battle that determines the final outcome of the war, Charlie is seriously wounded. The weeks of his recovery are also a journey of discovery as they finally hear the words the other is speaking, words of discovery, love, and commitment that fall into the quiet of their hearts and bring new hope and a future to both.
