Mavis Applewater's Biography
Mavis was born in 1962, just outside of Boston. After earning her degree in Theatre from Salem State College, she began a successful career as a bartender. As exciting as that was, she was still looking for more. At an early age she developed a passion for the written word. She read everything she could get her hands on. She also possessed a burning desire to write. A very wise woman once told her if she wanted to write, then she should write.
Eventually she listened to her which resulted in eight published works. Four collections of short stories, The PWP, Plot What Plot? Series. Volumes One and Two; Mavis Bites (a collection of Halloween stories); and the 2007 Goldie finalist for best erotica collection, Home For The Holidays. In addition to the PWP Series She has four novels under her belt, The Brass Ring, My Sister's Keeper, Tempus Fugit, and the 2009 Goldie winner Whispering Pines.
She owes it all to the very wise woman who told her to write. That’s one of the many reasons why she married her. Thankfully, she still lives in the Boston area and her marriage is legal. Her future plans include spending as much time as possible with her bride, Heather, and more writing. In 2011 she is looking forward to the release of two more novels, Finding My Way and Checkmate, A Caitlin Calloway Thriller - the long awaited sequel to her first novel The Brass Ring. Also in the works are PWP Five and The B&B Club.
